SiteTalk Care annual review for 2010

SiteTalk Care has now released its first annual report, showing that results of highly motivated efforts towards helping those of us being lees fortunate. Although SiteTalk Care is a new charity, the results so far has been very good, and it is very encouraging to read about how the help go to those needing it, making their lives better - all according to our vision:

SiteTalk Care’s vision is a world where children and grownups have the possibility to fulfill their dream and ambitions – a world were all people, young and old are respected as individuals and where their human rights are protected and upheld.

SiteTalk Care will work in new and old areas of disasters, poverty and human suffering. Where others have forgotten,we don’t forget.

Managers Report

The past year we have seen SiteTalk Care grow steadily in impact, effectiveness and global reach: worldwide income is up to €285.000, we have operations in 5 countries, and we have our emphasis on impact, effectiveness and accountability.

SiteTalk Care is no stranger to violent and dangerous areas and will continuously work with communities at the grassroots level, even in troubled areas and troubled times. Operationally, a number of significant global factors have created an increasingly difficult backdrop for SiteTalk Care’s activities:

Higher food and energy prices, continued climate change, and inflation have all combined with natural disasters, war and political upheaval to produce highly volatile environments across every continent. Despite these challenges, continued growth and delivery of quality programs remain a priority. However, with growth comes greater responsibility. SiteTalk Care has significantly increased practical steps to ensure real accountability to all our supporters. The communities we support continue to be deeply involved in their own development and constantly review our program results, and we have increased our formal evaluations, while improving and introducing more cost-effective systems.

In keeping with our commitment to local sustainability and empowerment, SiteTalk Care Supports operations in closed countries in Asia via a local NGO, Greg O’Connor This operation marks the beginning of a long term relationship. Globally, SiteTalk Care commits to international agreements and codes of conduct that set out the standards of accountability and transparency which we hold ourselves to, and which we expect to be held to.

Our strategic review have delivered a set of key goals that encompass continued focus on greater effectiveness and accountability, more inclusive governance, and more diversified income streams. These goals, and the accompanying business SiteTalk Care to deliver them, will set SiteTalk Care on a path to greater agility, flexibility and efficiency, and allow us to cope better with the challenges of the future while maintaining our integrity and commitment to our core values. We must also thank our ambassadors without whom this year’s achievements would not have been possible. The success of our programs and the positive impact is due to their passion, drive, and dedication. We continue to invest in their development with exciting activities.

On behalf of SiteTalk Care, we would like to acknowledge the continued commitment of all our supporters – individuals, sponsors, corporations, and governments – in helping to improve the lives of people living in poverty. Without your support this year’s achievements would not have been possible.
